You are invited to participate in an NSF-funded virtual workshop with the goal of creating a shared vision of the next generation learning-centered environment for AEC education, which requires a systematic understanding of the relationship between humans, learning, and technology in varied social contexts.
The deadline for registration is extended to 10/8/2021, and it will be open until all the spots are filled.
This event will be a three-day online workshop that will take place, on November 15-17, 2021, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM EST (GMT-4). There is no workshop registration fee for selected participants. For full consideration, please submit your application, including a 500-words written statement describing your vision of the next-generation technology-enabled learning environment in AEC education, using the following link by October 8, 2021. The vision statement should address at least one of the four main topics of AEC Curricula and Industry Practice; Technology and Learning; Disciplinary Gap; and Digital Inequity. The organizing committee will review the applications and vision statements as soon as they are received and notify applicants by October 21, 2021.
We encourage faculty members in AEC or education disciplines, professionals in the AEC industries and related information technology industry sectors, and members of professional societies related to AEC to apply. In particular, applicants from community colleges and non-R1 and Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) are encouraged to apply.
